STATISTICS: Milestones and statistics for the last two Twenty20 internationals between the White Ferns and Australia.
Maddy Green became the thirty eighth White Fern to play Twenty20 Internationals playing in the last two matches of the series.
The final two matches of the series were played as curtain raisers to the Australian Men's Twenty20 Internationals against India at Stadium Australia in Sydney and at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
New Zealand had already lost the series but won at Sydney to finish the series losing 1-3. The matches between the two countries have been very evenly contested as is evidenced by the statistics from the matches. Australia have won twelve matches to New Zealand's eleven with one match tied. New Zealand have scored 2,819 runs for the loss of 163 wickets off 455.4 overs.
Australia have scored 2,804 runs also losing 163 wickets off 453 overs. So the White Ferns have scored their runs at 17.29 runs per wicket compared to Australia's 17.20 while both teams have
scored their runs at 6.19 runs per over.
Kate Broadmore restricted the Australian batters in Sydney finishing with 3 for 9 off her four overs. This was the most economical bowling for the White Ferns against Australia and second only in economy against all teams to her own figures of 4-0-7-0 against India last year.
During the series Suzie Bates carried her career aggregate to 801 runs which leaves her second only to Charlotte Edwards of England among the top runscorers in all Women's T20 Internationals.
