Brendon Bracewell became the first New Zealand player to have both a brother and son play Test cricket. This is far from a unique occurence in all Test cricket with this situation having arisen on five previous occasions.
Hanif Mohammad was one of four brothers to play for Pakistan while his son, Shoaib Mohammad, once scored four consecutive Test centuries against New Zealand.
Frank Hearne who played for England and South Africa had two brothers who played for England. His son, George, played for South Africa.
S Wazir Ali and his brother both played for India but his son, Khalid Wazir, played for Pakistan.
