Captain Ross Taylor has won the toss and elected to bat in the first Test against the West Indies at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua.
Fast bowler, Neil Wagner, has been named in the side and will become Test player number 256 for New Zealand.
The match also marks a milestone for Daniel Vettori who is set to overtake Stephen Fleming as the most capped New Zealand Test player with 112 appearances.
