The Prime Minister's XI won the toss and elected to bowl but were unable to contain a focused BLACKCAPS line up in the one day match at Manuka Oval in Canberra.
Brendon McCullum showed little sign of his niggling hip injury as he hit 114 off 130 balls as the BLACKCAPS set the Prime Minister's XI 271 to win.
Peter Fulton celebrated his recall to the team with 53 and Ross Taylor made 38. Grant Elliott was 29 not out at the end.
Clinton McKay was the best of the bowling attack taking three for 52 off ten.
McCullum is playing as a batsman only with 18 year old ACT local Ryan Carters taking the gloves.
The Prime Minister's XI will begin their chase at 4:00pm.
