Ajinkya Rahane smashed 103 not out and Owais Shah smashed an unbeaten 60 to set Bangalore 196 for victory. Vettori had proved the only resistance for Royal Challengers, easily finishing with the most economical figures. Bangalore’s run chase battled from the outset and Rajasthan rampaged through their batting line-up to win by 59 runs.

With 21 needed off the final over Bangalore succeeded, sealing a spectacular win with a six on the final ball.

Match Summary: Kolkata Knight Riders have eased to an eight wicket victory over Kings XI Punjab and improved their position to third on the points table. Some tight bowling from Kolkata limited Punjab to just 127 for seven from their 20 obvers, with Adam Gilchrist top-scoring with an unbeaten 40. The Knight Riders though fared much better at the crease, as they chased down the target easily to win with 21 balls in hand. Gautam Gambhir was the key to the chase with an unbeaten 66, while Jacques Kallis chipped in with 30 not out.
