BLACKCAPS hold third place

The BLACKCAPS will strengthen their grip on third place in the ICC ODI Championship with an ICC World Cup semi-final victory over Sri Lanka.

The New Zealanders hold a five-point lead over Mahela Jayawardene’s side heading into their next meeting, at Jamaica’s Sabina Park.

Sri Lanka will take third place if they beat the BLACKCAPS and then go on to win the competition.

Ireland debuted at 10th on the ladder, having earned their place with World Cup defeats over Pakistan and Bangladesh.
