Added incentive for Vettori and McCullum

While the BLACKCAPS will be looking to continue the form they showed last week when the second Test begins in Bulawayo tonight, there is added incentive for and .

Both players are in line for the World XI team to take on Australia in October. They made the final 20 for both the Test and ODI squads and must be close to final selection after their performances in the first Test last week. Both scored aggressive centuries, while Vettori's six wickets saw him become the third New Zealander to take 200 Test scalps.

Another good performance in the second Test could see the two BLACKCAPS almost cement themselves in the final World XI Test squad, which is due to be announced before the end of August.

Meanwhile, the same BLACKCAPS XI will take the field in Bulawayo tonight. There may have been some temptation to play off-spinner Paul Wiseman as the pitch is expected to turn later in the match. But with expectations high for another comprehensive win and after the impressive performance of the bowling attack last week, it was decided to retain the same team.

The Zimbabwe XI will not be announced until just before play gets underway.

BLACKCAPS: Stephen Fleming (captain) Daniel Vettori (vice-captain), Nathan Astle, Shane Bond, James Franklin, Hamish Marshall, James Marshall, Chris Martin, Brendon McCullum, Scott Styris, Lou Vincent.
