The women's Dream11 Super Smash champions couldn't match that finish in the one-dayers, but still managed to end their season smiling after a good consolation win in Sunday's only dead rubber.

Northern Districts captain Jess Watkin elected to bat in the last game for both teams, and got the hosts off to a good start with her 61 - her highest one-day score yet in ND colours.

But young allrounder Hannah Francis continued her strong finish to the season with both bat and ball, and removed all the top three en route to her second four-fa at this level.

She finished with a haul of 4/44, Caitlin Gurrey (49) and Nensi Patel (43) again combining well in the middle order, but not able to salvage the Northern innings this time, as they had on the previous day.

With Natasha Codyre picking up three and Jess Kerr a brace, Northern were dismissed with a one ball to spare for 246 - supplemented by some 26 extras, setting the Blaze an interesting chase.

Watkin and Jesse Prasad made a great start to defending that total, the Blaze 34/3 in the 11th over.

But then the Blaze default setting kicked in. Rebecca Burns did not miss an opportunity to enjoy her 100th List A match (81st for the Blaze), reaching her best Hallyburton Johnstone Shield score of 77 before she was run out by Patel.

She shared a new record stand to boot as the batting revelations of Jess Kerr continued, Kerr reaching her maiden one-day century off just 111 balls, including three sixes and four boundaries.

The Blaze chased their target down in the 49th over and both teams packed away their cricket gear to reflect on the season.
