Amy Satterthwaite (98) and Kate Ebrahim (76) got some valuable time at the crease as the WHITE FERNS warmed up for their ODI series against England with a 50-over game against the Academy in Leicester.

Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine were rested for the match, allowing Satterthwaite to open and Ebrahim to bat in the middle order.

The pair put on a valuable 117-run partnership to steer the tourists to 257-7 batting first, a total which was knocked off by their hosts in the 46th over.

The team moves to Leeds tomorrow to prepare for Saturday's opening game of the of the three-match series, at Headingley.
