England's day despite Amelia Kerr class

In Short
The WHITE FERNS were well beaten by England in the opening ODI, despite Amelia Kerr again bamboozling them with her leg-spin.

Kerr claimed 2-36 from her 10 overs, including the big wickets of Amy Jones (63) and Sarah Taylor (26), as the hosts amassed an impressive 290-5.

After a promising start, the WHITE FERNS run-chase petered out with a flurry of wickets through the middle as England cruised to a 142-run win.
