Australia complete Rose Bowl sweep

The WHITE FERNS have suffered a 232-run defeat at the hands of Australia, losing the Rose Bowl series 3-0.

Choosing to bowl first, the WHITE FERNS bowlers struggled for consistency as the Australian batters took charge.

Alyssa Healy (87) and Rachael Haynes (96) put on 144 for the first wicket, top scoring in a record total of 325/5 at Allan Border Field.

Melie Kerr was the shining light with the ball for New Zealand, taking 3-50 from her 10 overs.

The WHITE FERNS response with the bat didn’t start well, losing captain Sophie Devine in the first over and Natalie Dodd and Melie Kerr soon after.

Amy Satterthwaite showed some resistance in the New Zealand top order scoring a breezy 41 and Maddy Green fought hard for 22 but ultimately the chase was too big for the visitors, bowled out for 93 in 27 overs.
