Scores

After a heart-breaking last-ball loss in the opening round, Otago bounced back quickly in the second round with a comfortable win over ND - thanks to a southern century from opener Cam Jackson and powerful opening partnership.

Jackson's run-a-ball 118 in a superb 194-run opening stand with Josh Kellett (88) dominated the Otago scorecard, the pair batting into the 35th over before a wicket fell in the match.

Kellett then carried on for almost another 10 overs and, despite a late fightback from ND at the death, Otago eased their way to 292 for six in their full 50.

NZ U19 opener Ollie White got a good start in reply with a patient half century, but Otago got on top early with the ball and, after the loss of White in the 24th and Fergus Lellman (37) a handful of overs later, struggled to form partnerships.

Coming on as sixth change, wrist spinner Blair Donaldson had picked up the big wicket of White and surged on to finish with 4-36 off his nine overs, while Louis Holt took 3-29 as Otago wrapped it up with almost six overs to spare.
