Canterbury Magicians elected to bowl first in the shortened State League match against the Otago Sparks at the MainPower Oval in Rangiora.
The match was reduced to 34 overs after heavy overnight rain and light morning showers delayed the start.
The Sparks were bowled in the final over for 95 by a Canterbury attack that was on song throughout the innings. None more so than Beth McNeill who picked up three for 11 off 6.1 overs.
Canterbury went about chasing down the small total in a businesslike fashion taking only 22.2 overs to complete the task.
Amy Satterthwaithe contributed 36 not out for the Magicians, while Emma Campbell took two wickets for the Sparks.
After three rounds Canterbury are nestled into outright third spot on ten points, with Otago in fourth on six points.
