India have beaten the BLACKCAPS by 117 runs in the final warm up match of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
MS Dhoni blazed a quick fire century as India racked up 360-5 and then restricted the BLACKCAPS to 243.
The run chase started positively with Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill blazing 94 at the top of the innings before Guptill was dismissed for 38 in the 15th over.
When spin was introduced the runs became harder to come by and regular wickets followed. An unfortunate mix up lead to McCullum being run out for 58 with his wicket followed by the cheap scalps of Ross Taylor (5) and James Franklin (0).
Jesse Ryder looked good for 32 before he scooped one to mid-wickets and with his departure the game slipped away. Jamie How (15), Jacob Oram (12) and Scott Styris (20) were all out before the 40th over.
Nathan McCullum put up some late resistance with a hard hit 29 but ran out of partners with the BLACKCAPS all out after 43.1 overs.
Earlier, India piled a formidable total, highlighted by MS Dhoni’s sensational 108 not out.
The innings got off shaky star with both Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehway missing out and at 42 for two after nine over the BLACKCAPS were going well.
However, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli made batting look easy as the pair raced to half centuries - Kohli hitting 59 off 68 and Gambhir 89 off 85.
Although the BLACKCAPS were pleased to get the breakthroughs the next two batsmen tore the attack apart. Suresh Raina blasted 50 off 26 in a partnership of 124 off 56 balls with Dhoni bringing up his century in the final over.
