The Auckland Hearts made easy work of chasing down the Otago Spark total in the Action Cricket Twenty20 match at Melville Park in Auckland.
After winning the toss and electing to bat Otago put on 87 for nine with the Auckland side reaching 88 for four in 15.4 overs.
Opener Suzie Bates was the only Otago batsman to make an impression with 37 while Kate Martin and Victoria Abbott both scratched together 10.
Auckland bowler Paula Gruber did most of the damage with three wickets including the prize scalp of Bates.
The Hearts got off to a shaky start losing import Sarah Taylor in the third ball but a number of middling scores, including a rapid 26 runs off 18 deliveries by Maddie Green, got them home comfortable.
