It was a ditto day for the Otago Sparks as a Devine-led charge saw Wellington Blaze walk over them for a second time in the final weekend of the season.

The result confirmed a winless one-day summer for the Southerners while the Blaze had simply been too strong again, after captain Thamsyn Newton had elected to bat first.

The hosts put up a hefty total of 321/8 - the fifth highest total in Blaze's history, all the usual suspects contributing, and allrounder Jess Kerr reaching a career best 58, batting at seven.

The Sparks were outgunned again, despite three-fors for both Emma Black and Sophie Oldershaw.

None of the attack was spared the carnage, and when it cut to the chase, yet again Katey Martin was left trying to prop up a score with little support from her teammates, top-scoring with 64 before the southerners were all out for 146 in just the 34th over.

Blaze's 175-run victory was the third highest in the team's history.
