Central too good

Central Districts have made it two wins in two days against Central in the neighbours round of the U18 tournament.

James McDougall set up the win for his side with a brilliant century to give his side a massive 300 total at the end of 50 overs.

Central won the toss and decided to bat, but lost both openers cheaply. It was the middle-order who stood out, particularly Angus Shaw with 66 and of course McDougall who made 118 from 121 balls.

Henry Walsh and Will Brunton collected three wickets a piece for Wellington.

Wellington in reply looked fragile at the start and lost their top order cheaply.

Thankfully the middle-order performed as Henry Williams completed a top individual performance with 49 and Brett Johnson top scored with 66.

It was never going to be enough though as 300 was wellout of their reach.

In the end Wellington fell well short and were all out in the 41st over for 185.
