Heavy rain and a sodden outfield has give the umpires no choice but to abandon play without a ball being bowled in the Women’s One-Day final between the Central Hinds and Wellington Blaze at Nelson Park in Napier.
The Central Hinds will be crowned 2009/10 champions after finishing top of the table after the preliminary rounds.
Central were rewarded with the home final after winning six of the ten matches completed in round robin play with the Wellington Blaze winning five.
The result caps a great season for the Central Hinds who beat the Auckland Hearts yesterday in the Women's Twenty20 final.
