The Wellington Blaze reversed the trend of their weekend with a solid win over the Auckland Hearts at Upper Hutt's Barton Oval.
The Blaze kick-started their day by posting 190 after being in deep trouble early on. Sophie Devine (42) and Mindy Hodgson (58) shared in a crucial 89 run 6th wicket partnership which righted the listing ship. Devine now sits comfortably in second spot of the overall MVP table.
Auckland's Roseanne Cox was the easy pick of the bowlers, ending with a five wicket haul for just 40 runs.
Auckland's run chase never got out of first gear, as Lucy Doolan (3-18 off 7.4) and Elizabeth Perry (3-27 off 6 overs) ripped the heart out of the innings.
Wellington's win provided them with a good finish to a weekend which had seen them bettered in both the Twenty20 and opening 50 over match.
The 88 run win puts the Blaze firmly at the top of the table after four rounds with the Hearts in fourth.
