BLACKCAPS v England, 4th T20I, McLean Park

Posted Friday, November 8, 2019 in International News

A brutal 182-run partnership between Eoin Morgan and centurion Dawid Malan ensured England squared the T20 series in emphatic fashion at McLean Park.

Malan's 48-ball century featured six sixes and nine fours and was the quickest ever T20 ton by an Englishman as he and Morgan (91 off 41) powered their side to a formidable 241-3.

The BLACKCAPS reply got off to a promising start with Martin Guptill belting three early sixes, but once he and Munro's 54-run opening-stand was broken, hope began to fade with regular wickets falling as the required run-rate soared.
