Terms and Conditions
Promotion
1. Instructions, prizes and information on how to enter form part of these conditions of entry. By entering, entrants accept these conditions of entry.
2. The promoter is New Zealand Cricket, 8 Nugent Street, Grafton, Auckland 1023 (Promoter or NZC) and the competition is being run by NZC in conjunction with Yorker Limited (Yorker).
3. The promotional period begins at midday Friday 2nd October 2026 and ends at 11:59 pm Sunday 31st October 2026 for the boy’s competition and ends at 11:59pm Monday 30th November 2026 for the girl’s competition (Promotional Period).
4. Entries are open to be boys and girls aged 15 to 18 years on 1st October 2026 (Participants). All Participants must be residents of New Zealand. Excluded from entry are employees of New Zealand Cricket, Yorker Limited, their immediate families or any agents including other advertising, marketing or promotional firms associated with this competition.
5. All Participants must complete the required entry form including consent approval by a parent or legal guardian (Guardian) and submit the form to Yorker. Once the form is submitted, the Participant will be emailed a unique Yorker code. Participants then:
a. Download Yorker from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
b. Copy your unique code from the email from Yorker. It needs to be pasted in exactly as shown. You will receive six months’ free subscription to Yorker by entering your code
c. New to Yorker? When you sign up, paste your code into the referral code box.
d. Already a member? Tap Unlock Premium Membership, scroll to the bottom of the subscription screen and paste your code into the referral code box.
6. Participants may enter as many times as you like, and you will be given one entry into the draw per submission.
Entry and Finals
7. An Entry into the competition is classified as a delivery successfully registered in the Yorker app and logged in the ‘NZC Youth Fast Bowling Challenge’ leaderboard. Participants may record as many deliveries as they like during the Promotional Period. NZC however recommend that all Participants manage their entries and bowling loads in a safe way as to avoid injury.
8. The participant’s fastest delivery successfully recorded via the Yorker app, will be added to the official NZC Youth Fast Bowling Challenge leaderboards for boys and girls. NZC and/or Yorker may verify any Entry for accuracy and NZC and Yorker reserve the right to remove any Entry which in their discretion (acting reasonably) is not a Legal Delivery. At the end of the Promotional Period, the top five fastest boys and girls verified entries (1 per Participant) will qualify for the boys and girls finals (Finalists).
9. NZC will also choose one additional Wildcard Finalist to compete in both the boys and girls Finals. The Wildcard Finalists will be chosen at the sole discretion of NZC and there will be no negotiation entered into. NZC will not be required to communicate the rationale for selecting the Wildcard Finalists.
10. NZC shall notify the Finalists (including Wildcard Finalists) of their selection before Monday 9 November 2026. Finalists will be notified by email or phone, with details of the Finals.
11. All boys Finalists will then progress through to the Boys Final which will be held live during the lunch break of the third day of the 1st Test between the BLACKCAPS and India in Wellington on the 21st November. All girls Finalists will then progress through to the Girls Final which will be held live during the innings break of the 1st ODI between the WHITE FERNS and Bangladesh in Wellington on 18th December 2026. The Finals may be televised live on Sky Sport as part of the broadcast and each Finalist consent to be recorded whilst competing in the Final.
12. If as a result of events outside of NZC’s control (including as inclement weather or early conclusion of a match) NZC reserves the right to reschedule or move the Final to another time or venue.
13. If any Finalist is unable to be contacted by NZC (after making reasonable attempts) or is unable to attend the live Finals as above, then that Entry will be deemed invalid and NZC will decide if a replacement Finalist will be selected. A replacement Finalist (if any) will be chosen at the sole discretion of NZC and there will be no negotiation entered into.
14. All Finalists will have the chance to bowl three deliveries. A Legal Delivery is classified as any delivery that is not a ‘no ball’ or ‘wide’ under the MCC Laws of Cricket (Legal Delivery). The fastest Legal Delivery bowled and recorded via the Yorker app in the boys and girls Finals will determine the Winners of the competition. There will be one boy’s winner and one girl’s winner (Winners).
15. The Promoter will coordinate and pay for reasonable return travel costs to the Final for the Finalists plus one Guardian each. If additional Guardians or family members / friends choose to attend the Final, then they will be responsible for coordinating and paying for their travel costs. The Finalists will travel to Wellington and return to their destination on the day of the Final. No accommodation will be coordinated as part of the competition.
Prizes
16. The Major Prize for the Winners will be a prize pack including a signed BLACKCAPS or WHITE FERNS replica shirt, a personal 1-on-1 fast bowling coaching session (maximum 60 minutes) with one of the NZC Youth Fast Bowling Challenge ambassadors, plus four tickets (GA or Category C) to any match of the BLACKCAPS vs Sri Lanka home series in 2027 (Major Prize). The Winners of the Major Prize shall be responsible for all travel arrangements and expenses in relation to attending the coaching session and the relevant home match chosen as part of the Major Prize.
17. The Minor Prize for all other Finalists (excluding the Winners) will be a prize pack including a BLACKCAPS or WHITE FERNS replica cap, plus four tickets (GA or Category C) to any match of the BLACKCAPS vs Sri Lanka home series in 2027 (Minor Prize). The Winners of the Minor Prizes shall be responsible for all travel arrangements and expenses in relation to attending the relevant home match chosen as part of the Minor Prize.
18. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoter reserves the right to change a prize to one of the same or equal value at any time if a prize becomes unavailable. The coaching session with the Male and Female Ambassadors will be coordinated directly with the Winner and their Guardian.
Content Permission
19. When entering the competition, the Participant and their Guardian will be asked for Promotional Consent permissions within the entry form. The Participant and Guardian will be asked to give consent to grant NZC permission to share video of the Participant bowling as part of coverage of the NZC Youth Fast Bowling Challenge. If promotional Conest is given, the Participant and their Guardian grant NZC a non-exclusive, non-revocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish and display your content in any media or distribution method, including publication on websites and internet applications without restriction and without making any payment to you, as NZC sees fit. Content would only appear on BLACKCAPS, WHITE FERNS and NZC meta channels (Facebook and Instagram), the Yorker Instagram channel, Lockie Ferguson’s Instagram channel and the NZC website. Posts will remain up indefinitely, however the Participants and the Guardian reserve the right to ask NZC or Yorker to remove them sooner. The Participant or the Guardian can ask for the content to be taken down at any time, for any reason, by emailing info@nzc.nz. The content will be removed within 5 working days. NZC and Yorker will not be liable for any content that has been reshared or copied before the content has been removed. Use of content will be at NZC’s discretion and NZC is not obligated to use, reproduce, publish or display any content. The Participant and Guardian consent to NZC sharing personal information with Yorker for the purposes of conducting the competition. Further, Participants agree that NZC may share content with its broadcast partner to promote the Competition. The Participants completed entry form, including Guardian consent, will be deemed consent for sharing their content.
20. If you are under 18 years of age, you must get approval from your parent/guardian before you enter and if you will be under 18 years of age on the date a prize is awarded, it will be awarded to your parent/guardian. By approving your participation or by accepting a prize on your behalf, your parent/guardian accepts these Terms and Conditions. 21. You confirm that you have obtained all appropriate consent from other people or the owners of property that is identifiable in your photo or video to enter it into the Competition (in accordance with these terms and conditions) prior to entering the Competition.
22. Your content must: a. not include any objectionable material; b. be fit for public display, not show any act that is dangerous or offensive to the public or that may damage the reputation of NZC (as determined in NZC’s sole discretion); and c. not be digitally enhanced or modified.
23. You warrant that the photo or video does not infringe on the moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the photo or video. You fully indemnify NZC against any claims arising from the display or use of your photo or video.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to remove or disqualify any Entry submitted that does not meet the above conditions or in the sole discretion of NZC could otherwise damage the reputation of NZC or Yorker at any time without notice.
General
25. Following the Finals, in the event that the Winners are unable to be contacted, and all methods of communication are unsuccessful, the prize remains the property of the Promoter until claimed by the Winner.
26. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and the identification of entrants. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
27. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize in whole (or any of its components), with a substitute prize of equal or greater value if the prize (or any of its components) cannot be provided for reasons outside the Promoter's reasonable control.
28. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter gives no representation, guarantee or warranty with respect to the prize provided under this Competition. In particular, the Promoter gives no warranty with respect to the quality of the Prize, its suitability or fitness for any purpose.
29. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained relating to the Competition except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
30. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading of any materials in this promotion.
31. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned including weather events, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. All entries will be the property of the Promoter. Any personal information collected will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion. Personal information may be disclosed to contractors and agents assisting with this promotion or to communicate with entrants. Entrants are able to obtain a copy of the Promoter's privacy policy by contacting the Promoter.
