Cricket Central Terms of Use

1. Introduction

1.1. New Zealand Cricket (“NZC”) is the national governing body for cricket in New Zealand. NZC is responsible for all aspects of the sport of cricket, including participation, education, training, and ensuring participants comply with all regulatory and statutory obligations in place from time to time.

1.2. Cricket Central is operated by New Zealand Cricket, an incorporated society registered in New Zealand, with its registered office at New Zealand Cricket, 8 Nugent Street, Grafton, Auckland 1023, New Zealand.

1.4. This document sets out the terms and conditions (the “Terms”) applicable to all users of the Cricket Central app and associated digital services.

1.5. It is recommended that all users read these Terms carefully as they contain the legal terms and conditions that all users are subject to and bound by.

1.6. NZC may amend these Terms at any time and users should therefore check them from time to time. The Terms applying will be those in place on the date of use.

1.7. Any individual registering or using the Cricket Central app on behalf of a third party shall be deemed to be acting with the consent of that party, including the authority to agree to these Terms.

2. Privacy and Data Protection

2.1. NZC will process personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and the NZC Privacy Policy, which is available on the NZC website. By using Cricket Central, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with that policy.

3. Use of Cricket Central

3.1. By creating an account or using Cricket Central, you agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

3.2. You must not misuse the app, attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, or engage in any activity that could damage or disrupt the app or its services.

4. Safeguarding

4.1. NZC is committed to providing a safe and positive environment for all participants, including minors and vulnerable adults. All users must comply with NZC’s Welfare of Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy which is available on the NZC website and Sport New Zealand’s Safe Sport for Children guidelines.

5. Anti-Doping and Clean Sport

5.1. NZC condemns the use of performance-enhancing drugs and supports the position of the Sport Integrity Commission, the International Cricket Council (ICC), and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) against the use of banned substances and methods. All participants agree to comply with the ICC Anti-Doping Code and Sports Anti-Doping Rules.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1. Unless otherwise stated, NZC is the owner of all copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights in all materials provided or made available through Cricket Central. You may not copy, publish, distribute, extract, or reproduce any part of the content except as permitted by applicable law or with prior written consent from NZC.

8. Disclaimer and Liability

8.1. To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, NZC makes no representations or warranties about the content or services provided through Cricket Central, other than those expressly set out in these Terms.

8.2. NZC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of Cricket Central, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

9. General

9.1. These Terms, together with any associated application forms or processes, constitute the entire agreement between you and NZC regarding your use of Cricket Central.

9.2. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
