Nensi Patel played cricket throughout her schooling and represented her region throughout age group levels before debuting for Northern Districts during the 2021/22 season. Patel shone during her debut season and was rewarded with the Northern Districts Young Female Cricketer of The Year and Hallyburton Johnston Player of The Year awards.
Nensi made the mature decision to leave seam bowling behind and become an off-spinner after an ACL reconstruction. Her decision to switch things up and master a new bowling style highlights just how determined Nensi is to be a successful cricketer.
A powerful batter and crafty off spin bowler, Patel has become a key cog in a young Northern Districts team. Her performances for northern districts were rewarded her first New Zealand central contract for the 2022/23 season.
