The squads are in for the third round of the eight first-class Plunket Shield championship rounds, underway from this Thursday with free admission at the matches in Auckland, Hamilton and Napier from 10.30am.
Headlining this week's red-ball Domestic action is the chance for Aucklanders to see New Zealand's latest IPL signing, with man of the moment and Mumbai Indians, Bevon Jacobs, named in the Aces' four-day squad to play Canterbury in a big match on the Eden Park outer oval.
All four-day matches are livestreamed free on NZC YouTube and live-scored on the NZC app as well as here at nzc.nz, with the toss in each match - at Hamilton's Seddon Park, Auckland's Kennards Hire Community Oval at Eden Park, as well as Napier's McLean Park, scheduled for 10am.
Northern Districts heads into the third round as the only undefeated team, with two wins, while Canterbury's moved up to second spot and has their red and black eyes on the top spot.
The Stags in third, and Auckland Aces in fourth - all those three teams with one win and one loss so far, can all technically overhaul the leaders in this round.
The defending champion Wellington Firebirds and Otago Volts are meanwhile still seeking their first victory, in Napier and Hamilton respectively, over the next four days.
