Plunket Shield leaders Northern Districts have had a point deducted from their first-round win against Canterbury at Hagley Oval last week.
Northern Districts was initially credited with the maximum 20 points for their outright in the first round of 2024/25.
The Points Table will now be adjusted to reflect a one point penalty for failing to meet the minimum over rate requirement of 15 overs per hour throughout their match against Canterbury in the opening round.
The deduction means Canterbury and the Central Stags shared the lead after the first round, both with 19 points.
With Northern collecting a further 18 points from their second round victory in Hamilton today, ND has the outright competition lead with 27 points from two matches, heading into next week's third round.
NZC's online points table will be adjusted to reflect the Round One penalty.
