Northern Districts and the Otago Volts have each been deducted one point from the fifth round of the Plunket Shield, in their respective matches in Hamilton and Wellington, last week.
Northern Districts was initially credited with 18 points for their outright win against Canterbury, while the Otago Volts had six first-innings points from their loss to the Wellington Firebirds.
The Points Table will now be adjusted to reflect the one-point penalty for failing to meet the minimum over rate requirement of 15 overs per hour throughout the respective matches.
New leader Northern Districts (65 points) remains at the top of the table, now just seven points ahead of the nearest competitor, the Wellington Firebirds (58 points).
It is the second time this season that ND has incurred a penalty for a slow over rate in the competition, having also been penalised by one point in the opening round of 2024/25.
The Otago Volts remain in last place on the table, with 27 points following the penalty.
NZC's online points table has been adjusted to reflect the Round Five penalties.
