SNAPSHOT: There weren't many dry eyes after 34-year-old Hinds veteran Kerry Tomlinson scored her maiden Domestic century.
Helping Tomlinson celebrate the occasion was left-handed youngster Flora Devonshire who not only formed part of a new Hinds record sixth wicket stand with Tomlinson, but went on to snare her maiden List A five-wicket bag to boot.

The win was an important one for the Hinds who had slid down the table from second into the bottom three, and now rebounded back into the top three, with a second bonus point win from their season.
The importance of the Tomlinson/Devonshire partnership in that equation can't be understated. They ensured their team recovered from a rocky position of 77/5 at the halfway mark.
Another wicket wouldn't be added on the scoreboard until the hosts were 200/6 and together they would better a Hinds sixth-wicket record that had been held by Rowe and retired keeper-batter Kelly Rangi for almost a decade.
They would also provide the meat of a total that would prove to be the Hinds' highest in all their 62 one-day matches against Canterbury. The Hinds had historically been on the losing side of most of those battles, but not today.

In the uncustomary position of being bottom of the table, the Magicians had Frankie Mackay back in red and black, and won the toss, electing to bowl first at a sunny, breezy Pukekura Park with the customary support crew of spectators.
Pace duo Jess Simmons and Gabby Sullivan both struck early, and Mackay was quickly in the game herself, running out Georgia Atkinson with a brilliant direct hit, and just one stump to aim at.
But they missed the presence of injured WHITE FERN Lea Tahuhu, and from the 26th over, after Hannah Rowe's start had been cut short, the Hinds regained control of the game.
Tomlinson stood up and showed all her cricket smarts, smacking four sixes to go with her 11 boundaries as she gathered momentum.
Her half century came off just 47 balls, and her young accomplice Devonshire - fresh off her career best List A knock in Palmerston North (below) - produced her second career-best half century on the bounce with 72 off 92 balls.

Tomlinson meanwhile motored to her maiden hundred off just 74 balls, and remained unbeaten as the Hinds set their new high score of 273/8 against this particular foe.
For Canterbury, Missy Banks was outstanding under pressure, turning in 1/18 off her 10 after opening the attack with Simmons (2/61).
Former Taranaki star Kate Ebrahim was tight as well in her homecoming to her old ground, with 1/40 off her 10 - but no one else could contain the century partnership.
You couldn't keep Devonshire out of the game in this match, as she quickly snaffled a sharp catch off Rosemary Mair in the powerplay to cost the visitors their first wicket in the chase.
Young legspinner Ocean Bartlett got the massive wicket of Ebrahim early, and halfway through the chase Devonshire got in the action with the ball, outfoxing and bowling Izzy Sharp on 41.
It was another key moment, as the Magicians struggled to pull together another stabilising stand.
Tomlinson took a well judged catch to remove powerful Nat Cox at 198/7, a second wicket for Devonshire. Then Mackay fell cheaply to Bartlett (a diving caught and bowled) and the Hinds were in the driver's seat.
Keeper Kate Gaging completed a slick runout of Banks, from Tomlinson's accurate arm.
Devonshire sealed her maiden bag with the last two balls of the match in the 43rd over, finishing with 5/22 off just 5.3 overs after a fine all-round display.
