Canterbury Magicians batter Kate Ebrahim wouldn’t be denied two days in a row by the Northern Districts in Rangiora, as the opener once again top-scored for the home side in what would be a commanding, six-wicket bonus-point victory in Rangiora on Sunday.
Following her century in a losing cause the day before, Ebrahim struck 10 boundaries in her 86, as the Magicians chased down their 210-run target inside 40 overs.
Earlier, ND batters Yas Kareem (41) and Caitlin Gurrey (44, above - PHOTOSPORT) continued their good weekend form, laying a base for the visitors, but the leg-spin of Sarah Asmussen proved the undoing through the middle as she claimed 4-53 to wipe out the lower order.
The Magicians were aggressive right from the outset in pursuit of the target, Ebrahim building valuable partnerships with youngsters Hannah Graham (43) and Izzy Sharp (39) to make light work of the total.

The Magicians' first win of the competition lifts them off the bottom of the table, while Northern lies in third with two wins and two losses approaching the halfway mark of the regular season.
