Central Districts U19 and Wellington U19 stayed unbeaten after the second day of age-group one-dayers while defending champions Auckland Under 19 picked up their first victor

CD U19 had another strong day with Taranaki Top order batter Jessie Hollard backing up her score yesterday with 96 today in a big 265/5 total for Central.

Captain Ocean Bartlett had been sent in on Bert Sutcliffe Oval, but that was to be no trouble for CD as they strung together one good partnership after another, anchored by Hollard who batted into the 40th over.

Central Hinds allrounder Ashtuti Kumar then took control with the ball, turning in a superb 4-12 in her eight overs as Otago U19 faced a big battle to get back into the game.

The southerners got as far as the 34th over before they were rolled for 118, Central taking a classy 147-run win.

Wellington U19 meanwhile won the toss and batted in Lincoln No.3 and reached 200/7 in a match reduced to 44 overs per side.

It was a good battle between the two sides with NDU19 captain and spinner Makayla Templeton picking up key wickets as she broke the second and third partnerships for 2-25 off her nine.

After an early runout, Antonia Hamilton (46) and Hannah Francis (36) had been going nicely for the second wicket with a stand of 68, before Hamilton was trapped just short of her half century.

ND kept chipping away from there but there reply with the bat fell short, tall ND rep Kayley Knight's 54 at the top the only batter to find traction before they were rolled by Wellington for 184 with one a bit over in hand.

Wellington Blaze rep Natasha Codyre picked up 3-32.

In the match played at St Andrew's College today, Canterbury was sent in and struggled to build partnerships around Harriet Graham who opened and top-scored with 33.

Auckland's Shivani Unka meanwhile snaffled 3-20 as the attack kept a lid on the Canterbury innings and bowled them out for 109 in just 38.1 overs.

Auckland's batters didn't let the chance for a comfortable win go begging as they hunted down the target with eight wickets in hand.
