Women & Girls

NZC’s strong commitment to women and girls cricket is underpinned by the vision of cricket being ‘a game for all New Zealanders; a game for life’.

Working in partnership with all Major Associations across New Zealand, NZC has a strategic focus to grow female participation, both on and off the field, with an emphasis on quality experiences for all. Cricket must continue to evolve and develop playing opportunities and cricket environments that women and girls across New Zealand want to be part of.

Throughout New Zealand, there are a wide variety of options for females to get involved with cricket – through traditional formats, modified formats and programmes, coaching, managing, umpiring, scoring and volunteering.

If you’re not already connected with your local cricket club or school, you can reach out to your local Cricket Association to find more details here:

Alongside national programmes led by NZC, throughout New Zealand there are great initiatives being lead by Major Associations and District Associations to engage with women and girls. As New Zealand builds to the hosting of CWC22 in March and April 2022, we’re focused on providing a variety of opportunities for women and girls across New Zealand to enjoy cricket.
