White Ferns 2006/07 schedule

The White Ferns will compete in two international series during the 2006/07 season.

Cricket Australia will host the trans-Tasman Rose Bowl competition in October in Brisbane.

The White Ferns will play traditional rivals Australia in a Twenty20 international and five one-day internationals.

In February 2007 the White Ferns face Australia again, as part of a four-nation tournament in India, also including the home country and England. The dates of the series are still to be finalised.

Catherine Campbell, New Zealand Cricket’s Women’s Cricket Manager said: “NZC and Cricket Australia are delighted to be able to schedule a Rose Bowl series in October in what is a busy season.

“Last season we did not play each other as both countries hosted India in separate tours so we have not met since March 2005 at the World Cup in South Africa.

“Both countries highly value the Rose Bowl series and I am sure it will be typically competitive before meeting again in February in India.”

The players will return home from Australia to prepare to play in the domestic State League competition in January before departing for India in early February.
