An unbeaten 77-run partnership between Michael Klinger and Andrew McDonald has given Victoria a seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka, after Allan Wise's five-wicket haul helped rout the tourists for 120 in the one-day tour match at Central Reserve in Melbourne.
The Bushrangers were 44-3 in the 11th over after losing Jonathan Moss (0), David Hussey (9) and Cameron White (10) cheaply, but Klinger, unbeaten on 52 off 74 balls, and McDonald (45 off 43 balls) guided the Bushrangers to victory with more than 15 overs remaining.
Klinger and McDonald were watchful early but were murderous once they got their eye in, plundering the last 61 runs in less than 10 overs, including 16 runs off one Tillakaratne Dilshan over.
After rain delayed the start of play by more than two hours, reducing each innings to 40 overs, White sent Sri Lanka in and Wise made the most of the overcast conditions, claiming 5-27 to destroy the tourists' top order.
Other than a gritty 43-run stand for the seventh wicket by Kumar Sangakkara (33 off 63 balls) and Farveez Maharoof (20 off 44 balls), the Sri Lankan batsmen offered little resistance, with extras top-scoring with 34, before being dismissed in the 34th over.
Wise claimed the first two wickets, snaring Upul Tharanga and stand-in skipper Mahela Jayawardene cheaply to have the tourists 35-2 in the fifth over.
Russel Arnold joined his skipper in the dressing room at the end of the next over, trapped in front by McDonald (1-19) for one.
The Sri Lankans fought their way to 53-3 before Wise struck with consecutive balls to send Jehan Mubarak (19) and Tillakaratne Dilshan (4) packing, giving the left-armer the impressive figures of 4-23.
Wise's day out continued in his next over when Chamara Kapugedara scooped him to McDonald at mid-on, leaving the visitors teetering at 57-6.
Maharoof made a dogged 20 in a 43-run partnership with Sangakkara, guiding the tourists to triple figures before he feathered Grant Lindsay (2-10) to Adam Crosthwaite in the 26th over.
White then claimed the next three catches as the tourists surrendered for 120 in the 34th over.
The Bushrangers' run chase started poorly with Moss and Hussey both departing cheaply, caught in the deep off the bowling of Dilhara Fernando.
Caught first up off a Fernando no-ball, White's good fortune ended in the 11th over when he hooked Nuwan Kulasekera to Malinga Bandara at deep square leg, before McDonald and Klinger shared an unbeaten 77-run stand to guide the hosts to victory.
