Pakistan enjoyed a run fest on day two of the first Test against India at Lahore with four of its batsmen scoring centuries as it amassed 7-679.
At stumps, after Pakistan declared, India was 65 without loss.
Initially there was disappointment when Younis Khan was run out for 199 by Harbhajan Singh when attempting an unnecessary single. His dismissal ended a 319-run stand for the third wicket with Mohammad Yousuf, who scored 173.
Yousuf was also in commanding form, totally dominating Younis' scoring feats at one stage.
But entertaining batting by Shahid Afridi saw him post his century off 78 balls He hit seven sixes, four of them from successive balls bowled by Harbhajan to be the second most expensive overs in Test matches. Afridi also his seven fours.
Not to be outdone, wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal then relieved Adam Gilchrist of his record for the fastest century by a wicketkeeper. Kamran went three better than Gilchrist to achieve the mark off 81 balls. He hit 11 fours and two sixes.
They added 170 in their sixth wicket stand, and at one stage Pakistan scored 179 runs in 20.2 overs.
Harbhajan was severely dealt to with 176 runs taken from his 34 overs while Anil Kumble bowled 39.3 and took 2-178.
The only batsman to miss out on the harvest was captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, he was leg before wicket to Kumble for one.
Once the Indians had the chance to enjoy the conditions they too, reveled in the situation. Virender Sehwag scored 36 off 35 balls as Shoaib Akhtar peppered and and Rahul Dravid with short balls.
