Abigail Kitchin and Katey Martin led State Otago Sparks to a three-wicket win over State Wellington Blaze at Dunedin’s University Oval.
Kitchin took four Wellington wickets as the Sparks removed their visitors for 131 within 41 overs.
Emma Campbell and Megan Kane took two wickets each for Otago, with only Megan Wakefield (25) and Liz Perry (23) making starts for the Blaze.
Martin then recorded 44, striking a half-century stand with captain Sarah Tsukigawa in Otago’s successful reply.
Victory was achieved with three overs spare to keep Otago well in the hunt for a place in the final.
