Aimee Mason’s century was enough to help State Central Hinds to a narrow two-run win over State Wellington Blaze at Wanganui.
CD, looking for the pair of victories which would put them in contention for the State League final, scored 224 for six from their 50 overs.
Mason hit 116 of those runs, which included 10 fours and a six from 124 balls. Nicole Thessman scored 55 in a fourth-wicket stand of 140.
Megan Wakefield (42) and Anna Smith (39) top-scored in reply for Wellington, who ran their hosts close at Victoria Park.
Blaze posted 222 for eight, batting out their 50 overs as they could not find the crucial runs.
