Another solid knock for opener Utsav Kumar (52), which included 7 boundaries, couldn’t quite elevate Tauranga over the line. A middle order collapse didn’t help Tauranga chase down 112 runs despite Andrew Friskney making 20 off 26 balls to give them a glimmer of hope. Liam Barron was the pick of the Balmacewen bowlers taking an impressive 4-15 of his four overs.

Flynn Bainbridge had another solid innings scoring 61 of 32 balls and T Langdon making a quick fire 27. However, Huntely bowler Harry McVerry had a fantastic spell which ultimately hurt Breen’s taking 5 wickets for only 10 runs off three overs including a hattrick and four wickets in his final over.
