The theme, Cricket Smart – What an event!, has a focus on how major events such as the ICC Cricket World Cup tournaments are organised and hosted. Through this theme, students can gain insight into:

• who are the players and teams competing in major
  tournaments
• the many different roles involved in organising and running an event
• how hosting an event allows a country and its people the opportunity to showcase their heritage and culture
• how a major sporting event of the present might evolve to be different in the future
• Learning opportunities that are ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 based can be adapted for use for any kind of sporting tournament
